How to set default Windows explorer with shortcut WIN+E. Does default windows explorer does not open when you press Windows + E  in Windows 10. Then this small tutorial is for you. Just follow the instruction below and you will learn how to set default Windows explorer with shortcut WIN+E in windows 10.

1. Goto “View”  tab 

Click on View tab on top left corner of the explorer.

2. Go to “Options” button.

Some options will roll out. Click on “Options” tab. and a new popup window will open.

3. Look for  “Open File Explorer to”. option

In new opened popup window, you can see “Open File Explorer to” option. By default this option is set to “Quick access” . Change this option to “This PC”.

4. You are all set

Now Click “Apply” and then “Ok” and you are all set. Now whenever you press “Windows+E”  “This PC”  will open instead of “Quick access”.

How to show days of the week in taskbar. Do you want that which day is today should be shown in task bar. So this blog is for you.Just Refer to the instructions below, and you can learn How to show days of the week in taskbar.

1. Goto Control Panel

Click on START button and Type-in “Control panel”. And then click on Control Panel button.

2. Go to “Clock and Region” option.

You will see Clock and Region option. Just below it you can see “Change date, time or number formats”. Click on it.

 In case you do not find “Change date, time or number formats” 

If you do not find this option. Then you are probably in “Small or Large icon mode”. You have to change this to default settings that is “Category”

3. Go to “Additional Settings”.

After clicking on  “Change date, time or number formats”, You will see a Popup window. Click on Additional Settings button.

4. Switch to “Date” tab.

Once again a popup window will apear. You have to switch to “Date” tab.

5. Goto to “Date Formats”.

Now to go to Date formats option and add “ddd” just before the “dd-MM-yyyy”.

“ddd” = first three letter of weekday (eg. SUN for SUNDAY)

“dddd” = all letters.

And then Click on Apply and you can see changes in upper window and in taskbar.

You can also change month view from numerical to letters.Just Add an extra “M” with “MM” for three letters.

“MM” = numerical value of month (eg. 01 for January)

“MMM” = first three letters(eg. “Jan” for January)

“MMMM” = All letters(eg. “January” for January)
